I have started to memorize the phone book as a mild distraction during the hard times (i.e. non-chess.com hour)

Erik, is it possible to have a scheduled downtime of Chess.com?
For example, on a Monday - it shall be announced that the site shall be down for 60 minutes on Saturday from 5-6am.
It helps us schedule our time, our life. And Chess.com has become almost our life. :))

ummm... probably not. we're always balancing things, doing final fixes, etc. it's never an exact science. plus, sometimes we have to pick odd hours. right now it's 2am. i don't want to plan for that :P
my wife told me I was on here too much...I told her it was chess.com or the strip club...
she bought me a membership here...

edwaxx - I have a similar story - my wife complained about me being here to much but then she got philosophical & said "well, I suppose it doesn't involve other women & doesn't cost much" - she doesn't realise how much my life-time diamond membership cost :-) ... anyway, come to think of it, there are female members of the site too
