72 in Puzzle Rush! 🔥

Hello everyone!

First of all, I wanted to quickly tell you that I am planning to make more own threads like this from now on.

I wanted to share an incredible performance of mine during Puzzle Rush (Survival).

As some of you may or may not already know, my Puzzle Rating is very high for someone of my rating (Although I an unrated in all time controls).

And a few days ago, I tried to break my own Puzzle Rush record in Survival. Which I did.

My attempt started with a unfortunate mistake early on, but after that I was very careful and ended up getting up a lot right. It became very difficult, but I handled it very good after a long think on each puzzle.

Here is my incredible performance and my Puzzle Rush (Survival) record of 72!

Yes, it got incredibly difficult after the 60th puzzle. But I did it pretty good if I do say so myself. Even though I did spend a lot of time - It took multiple hours!

What is your Puzzle Rush record? I’d like to hear your thoughts on this!

I got 13 last time in survival mode. I broke my own record of 12. 🙂

Ok I got 14 now few mins ago

The last 3 were impossible for me to solve. I took a lot of time but they were too hard

Great Job! Always try to review the puzzles you did wrong afterwards and try to find the solution. Or use a engine or a coach to understand the solution. 😄

Puzzles are intimidating for me. Playing chess is not.

My best is 23 I think but I don't do puzzles that much because I don't have a membership (I'm not on lichess so don't do it there)

I'm practicing puzzles a lot on lichess. And all the categories under "practice".

72 is just amazing! My record is 62 and that literally took me years to reach. At least for me, I feel that the puzzles get a bit tougher at 30 and a little more at 40 and 50, but 50+ are very difficult and 60+ I rarely reach.

Oh, my mistake! Sorry! No problem: Every puzzle is a tactic but not every tactic is a puzzle. Playing can be a good option too.
