Congratulations! It´s a singular way to discover that your words are relevant indeed...
A weird, if somewhat self-promoting, observation

All I ever get is some guy with my name who lives in Australia.
My name is David Hogg. You want to talk about seeing your name pop up in a lot of places, try sharing it with the most famous young anti-gun activist in the United States. Also a British astronomer.

Wow. I feel for you, bro. My name is John Smith. I always get either "Wow, that is a very ... common ... basic ... English/American name. Very nice and basic." Or "So where's Pocahontas?"
Much thanks to batgirl for killing him off!
She can't claim full credit. The Carlsen caruana match gave @tearursoulapart diabetes first.

I would be thrilled about a Pocahontas reference after some of the abuse I get from NRA supporters who can't tell the difference between a 19-year-old kid from Florida and a 49-year-old sportswriter from Detroit.
By the way, we got a little off track, but congratulations, @Batgirl. I'm not surprised you've been cited that often given the incredible content you produce.

Finally proof that batgirl is human! We will continue to worship her none the less.

The weird part, besides then diceyness of using something I had written as a reference, is that two of the pages cited had nothing to do with chess and only one of the books is chess-related.
Meanwhile, I'll pray for a cure for cancer which has probably touched all our lives directly or indirectly and wish everyone a wonderful new year..
I was looking something up and stumbled upon something I had written mentioned in a book. The book it A Priest, A Prostitute, and some Other Early Texans by Don Blevins (2016) and the page it cites is http://www.edochess.ca/batgirl/Adah.html, a little something I had written about Adah Issacs Menkin about 15 years ago.
I became curious and did some hasty searches which uncovered several more of my writings cited in books:
