Anybody can see whom you played in your last game.
As far as I'm concerned, this amounts to naming and shamming.
Well, what do you have to say for yourself. Emphasis on the "for yourself".

TheGrobe is a real "funny boy.'
We had one of them in the war. Had his head taken clean off with a shell. Was cleaning his guts off me for a week. Yeah, real funny.
Just saying.
We used to have a guy who lacked a sense of humor.
I beat the snot out of him...
He said, "That Snot Funny".

I've nothing to say for myself.
I never chat.
There once was a guy named TheGrobe
Who chatted all over the globe.
(No moaning, please let me finish!)
Until a straight shooter
Used the word computer
(Here comes the big finish!)
And he burned up a frontal lobe!
I started to use Axe Sport.....it still didn't help my chatting or my game...............
Hahaha! Switch to Old Spice Chat
What appalls me is the fact that chess.com actually condones chatting among its more experienced members. As a new member I am not allowed to join the main chat in tournaments yet, supposedly to prevent "abuse". I am however allowed to chat in individual games; at first I was very wary of this, but since it seems to be accepted practice I gave in and now chat regularly; the official policy quoted by netzach in #12 seems to be very laxly implemented and I have not yet received any warnings. I´m looking forward to the first tournament in which I am allowed to chat with abandon in the main hall with the more experienced chatters, and perhaps pick up some hints on avoiding discovery.
PS I played a game yesterday in which my opponent´s chat seemed very suspicious; I ran it through Chatterfritz and found 95% correlation with the computer´s 1st choice sentences; should I report this?
Although he was probably using a synonym word replacing software and/or spun content, there's no way to actually prove it's not unique content unless you can find copies of it elsewhere using copyscape or something. That's the problem with kids these days who are always looking for a shortcut instead of going uphill all three ways in the blizzard each morning.
This is complete and utter bull. I wish chess.com would crack down on these jerks who think they can get away with chatting. Whatever they do, whether through engine assistance or the support of a better speaker, it should be grounds for instant banning.
chat a little - I like to know who I'm playing where they live and a little about their family and work - Nice to make friends!!
If you have a problem with chatting please ring the chatline for help!?
Is that a request?
Am still trying to recover from prolonged guffawing at 282 posts in 8 days on "Why Is Chess So Male-Dominated?" forum. This did not help. Stomach hurting even more from further giggling .... Suggest new forum:
Is Chatting Female-Dominated? and If So, Why? and If So, Should Females Be Banned from Chess Since Their Chatting Constitutes a Clear and Present Danger to the Minds of Male Chess Players?!!
What is this smell here...?
