Analysis mode: meaning of color coding

When I go over my games in computer analysis the mistakes and inaccuracies are clearly labeled but most of the moves are simply colored either black or gray. May I ask what the difference is? I assume one is for best move vs. other for good or excellent, but which is which? Thanks.
