Are puzzles on Chess.com generated from [real games] played on the site OR….?

It seems that Lichess’ puzzles are all generated from [real] games but not sure about Chess.com since you can’t really see the [whole] game of the puzzle from the very first move.

Well I DO like the puzzles on this site 😆

Puzzles that have been designed are usually harder to solve until you figure out the key. There was one guy who made puzzles to ensure the answer was the least suspected move. His name was Sam Loyd. So if you have a Sam Loyd puzzle you just fin the most counter intuitional move and start from there.

The greatest solver of these types of problems you’d think would be Magnus Carlsen, but it’s not. So there are different skills used to solve designed puzzles than puzzles that have actually appeared in games.

Maybe John Nunn is still the highest rated in both chess and problem solving but I don’t know.
