Probably a recurring topic, but I couldn't find a thread that deals with it.
I love the site and have been playing a lot of great (blitz) games. Met a bunch of great people too and thumbs up for that.
The thing that bothers me though, is that I often get the feeling I am not playing an actual person, but simply a chess engine. I understand that not everyone is interesting in chat messages (especially playin short blitz games) but I often get the impression, there's no one there on the other end, if you get what I mean.Â
The accounts are often void of commentaries and the avatars are "animals", "comic figures" or other impersonal images like a car or a nature shot.
I wouldn't mind playing an engine once in a while, but it would great to know adn not feeling stupid to send a chat message a simple as "gg" or "thx for playing" and meet no response.
Any thoughts?
It's nice to give someone a compliment after a good game. Â I hope you keep trying even if people don't often respond.
When players make a comment at the end, I always struggle to get my fingers over to the keyboard to respond in the 5 seconds they wait before leaving the chat. Half the time, I mistype something and before I can edit it, they are gone.
