There are also a lot of mountains in Montana. Montaña is the Spanish word for mountain.

Good point BM. But that wouldn't have the same comedic value methinks...

I love when this happens. On my level, however, then analysis predictably shows the game was indeed a mutual blunderfest.

Clearly those must have been Stockfish's preferred blunders!

The problem is in the sites matching/streaking algorithm..it never makes sense that you always win like 5 or 10 matches daily for a week, then end up losing for a whole week to return you to your spot like a gambler.. something is completely wrong and frustrating with the matching system

Oooo.... that is really interesting. Now I am not doubting your experience at all - I have favced the same thing - but there "could" be a number of reasons for what is being experienced. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had similar experiences and/or what they think about it...

Sore losers are a staple of any online gaming community, which is why I predominantly prefer singleplayer games, with chess as it is being a sole exception. I find games by abandonment start being more rare above 1000 rating, but they still can happen.

I can remember chatting exactly twice in my few games I have here, the first time I turned the chat on just to get accused of cheating, and the second (more recently) to tell me I'm a pathetic loser for winning - and that was right after accepting a rematch from this person. It was distracting enough that I blundered a piece on move 3, just resigned on move 5 and blocked and reported.

From then on my chat is perma-disabled and I'm no longer accepting rematches from anyone. After a long day of work all I want is to relax with my hobbies, and I'm really not interested in someone's spite.
