????  How do you figure that?  I only block someone if he has sent me one or more irritating messages or notes.  Once he's blocked, he can no longer send me any messages or notes.  How is that a placebo?

What would really be cool is if staff actually tracked blocking statistics. If a member did a lot of blocking, or was blocked by a large number of other members that might indicate a problem worth investigating.

Maybe if they were blocked by a lot of people, but I think you should be able to block as many as you want.

I don't know how much investigating needs to be done lol. Get tango and cash down here. We've got a hot case for them

I made windows98's list of worst trolls.  I was number one at one point for my involvement in hijacking his "do not hijack" thread.  I think he might have moved me below trysts, but I don't know.  Lets just call it a tie. Smile

If I recall correctly, I was blocked for using the profanity "dating". Seriously, I think that got me blockedLaughing

Even better, blackfirestorm666 was blocked for calling windows "Dear".

I think that at least I got to insult him a couple times before he blocked me.

I got blocked AFTER being invited to the Windows-7_ blocked members group by his co-admin oinquarki. Of course, Windows-7_ consequentially put me on his blocked list and has not taken me off since.

I see his detention doesn't have any members anymore. Maybe he should make a detention for people who were removed from detention, so they can plead to be put back in detention...

To be fair it's a touchy subject for us chess players. I can't say I blame him. Wink

You've been blocked for questioning the bigoted, prejudiced, narrow-minded and ignorant status quo.

I got blocked for my very first post in which I addressed WinDope.  In fact, it was because I bestowed the name WinDope on him that he blocked me.

I just checked.  I'm still blocked.  That's one less slot that he has available to "threaten" someone else with!  Cool

Plus loss of down.

You've been "checked" OUT!   "Yooooou're OUTta here!" lol

usually if you find yourself blocked by someone with whom you have never communicated directly it's because you wrote something somewhere that they found horribly offensive and repulsive.

Nicely done Watson.  Do you want a cookie?

Also I forgot about this thread.  Thanks!
