All I can say is that I really hope this is an April Fools joke because if it isn't gone tomorrow, I will be.

I don't know, I think I'll stick around. It's Chess.com's move, and I want to see how the game turns out.

I have a feeling that the reason this is happening today is so they can test the waters and if they get an overly negative response they can just say "April Fools!".

Just stop complaining, you are free, therfore expect ads.

Nope.  Not going to see ads.

"Blocking ads? Well played..." Hahaha, they admit defeat.

They probably get a few cents for every person watching ads.

Since I unblocked it, I haven't had any loud ads and I haven't had any games freeze up.   I agree with the poster who said he felt he was forced into trying it because several weeks ago things seemed to be totally messed up and games were freezing for people who had never had problems.  As long as things work, I don't mind a few ads.

You have to admit that the ads on this site are kinda.... um.... "wierd".

Definitely not the same kind of ads that you'd see in the New York Times website.

^ Yeah I installed AB+ because of the aweful ads that were being displayed, I'd give some examples but the mods would delete my comment! They're that bad

This was well done.  I am actually going to try whitelisting chess.com for a bit. I hope that they've eliminated the clanging cymbals from the ads.

(block that "bLoCk_aDs¿ _wElL PlAyEr;.;", pls)
