Blocking insulting people

Hi

This topic is somehow similar to this one:

http://www.chess.com/forum/view/livechess/options-for-reporting-insults-in-live-chess-chat

It sometimes happens that opponent in live chess starts to insult you in various ways via the chat, stopping playing and just waiting or combining these.

I do realise that in big enough community, there always will be some number of jerks.

Right after the game, you have a selection from few options (via buttons) - like a rematch, add a friend, analyse the game ...

It would be very helpful if there will be an option of blocking this person from ever playing with you...

Blocking a person from sending you messages (that is present now) is nice, but what I would really like to do - is never meet them again in live chess...

What do you think?

I think that is included in what happens already. From "Help and Support" (on the bottom of every page):

How can I block another user?

You can do this from your 'Privacy Settings'. To get to 'Privacy Settings,'

move your cursor over 'Home,' then select 'Account,' then choose 'Manage

your Privacy Settings' This will lead you to this page:

http://www.chess.com/home/privacy.html ) and you will see a section at

the bottom of the page where you can enter a username to block.

Once blocked, a member cannot do any of the following:

  • post notes to your account
  • send you messages
  • accept your game seeks
  • be auto-matched with you in open seeks
  • join tournaments that you are running
  • post in content that you created

thnx, I know. From my opinion, it would be useful to have this option as a button after each game ...
