It appears the new chess.com version doesn't allow specifying the rating of prospective opponents? If this is the case then I'm definitely out!!!

Yeah I think some brainiac did the math and figured out that not all of us can play higher rated opponents at the same time. Apparently they want us to earn the right to play higher rateds...

When you create a custom challenge you can specify a range that brackets your current rating. You have to manually change those, if you want to, by clicking the values.

You always have to include your current rating.
