I absolutely love Chess.com and my first 10 days here as a new member have been more than wonderful. I discovered the joy of playing this lovely game a few months ago so naturally I am going to have quite a low chess rating and only a poor blind man could not notice the animosities the higher rated players hold against the lower rated players. It is very sad for me to read a lower rated player start a thread or post something on our forums with a civil tone and the best of intentions wanting to become a part of this gathering only to get shot down and humiliated because their rating did not suit an urk or whomever. It is terrible to see such abuse. This is one reason I always leave a rose or something when I post to whomever posts me whatever comment. As for me there isn't a soul in our forums that I will allow to scare me off because of something as silly as a random number. Cheers! 🌹
Cherub_Enjel's account closed. Chess.com sends a strong message to all the trolls.
Ahh well.He is on a daily game with me.He plays good chess. Those who are alive today might be dead tomorrow! So enjoy while it lasts!
@Sanju1996-d i guess you called me the troll that the mod erased.Well you violated the no name and shame rule after being on this site for so long.So you are the real troll

Why Nimzomalaysian didn't reported this OP months before Cherub? Why he was not so sensitive before?

You have to understand that I can't be on Chess.com's forums 24/7. There're literally 100s of threads that get created here everyday and it is humanly impossible for anyone to check each one of them. As a responsible member, I consider it my duty to report things I find offensive and derogatory.
I just saw this thread now, after you posted its link, so there're no way I could've reported it before. On that note, if you were a responsible member/human being you would have reported it yourself instead of asking me why I did not report it.

You are lying! You see this post for second time! First time you saw it in Cherub's thread when I posted it there before you call out!! out of blindness, hate and anger to chess.com community send reports and provoke Cherub's ban!
Your judgement is selectively based on your personal vendetta to satisfy your friends ego : Sunofthunder2.
It doesn't take more than ten minutes per day to spots Trolls in Chess.com forums but when you want to target someone all you need is to track him down and wait for the right moment. Right?
Shame on you Nimzomalaysian!

Why are you so furious defending someone who used multiple accounts to sandbag? Are you one of his many sock puppets?

Remember the block feature which Chess.com has and the Terms of Service (TOS) https://www.chess.com/legal. It is not acceptable to make personal attacks, harass, bully or intimidate another member.

I am not defending Cherub! I alleged your conspiracy against him! What you did was not an interest to clear chess.com forums from trolls or multiple accounts. You simple don't care...
What you did was a selective action to satisfy a personal matter!
The fact I have mentioned this one three times now and you don't have the courage to neglect it, proves the value of my words!
Don't try to turn this dialog against me....save your selfs from what you did!
I owe nothing to Cherub, I present my self only and what I believe.

@Bishop_g5. Let me ask one question, how did you come to the conclusion that SonOfThunder2 and I are really close friends?

That's a bit of a shame. This site isn't really as interesting without the trolls and jokers and he was and still is giving beginners advice and while the advice is not fantastic, he is doing a better job than the majority of others. I personally vote for the chess.com staff to unban him, but he will probably come back on a different account anyway.
Sponsorship and censorship don't mix. I will not buy anything advertised on a site which censors ANYONE, because I don't know what I'm not hearing, and purchasing decisions are supposed to be well-informed.
Censorship and free thinking indeed do not mix.
By which I mean censorship due to expressing different or controversial opinion.
Filtering out spam is actually a useful function, I still vividly remember a forum which censored nothing back in the 90s about a game I played that eventually became unusable due to everything being spammed with nonsensical ascii symbols (not ascii art, mind you).
But relax, history shows every trend eventually has a counter-trend, and following todays over-sensitive offended-by-everything strict censor policies there will come back the days of more natural and robust discussion.
If the majority of posters could just figure out to never feed the trolls, they wouldn't be much of a problem either.

Looks like it's getting hot these days for some who are tired of being here or forget the limits do it the hard way, with a big bang. I bet more people will do it the same. Actually a pity, Cherub was a gain for chess.com
If the majority of posters could just figure out to never feed the trolls, they wouldn't be much of a problem either.
The problem with that is that who you consider a troll is very subjective, apart from a few obvious cases. Person X may think Y is a troll whereas Y thinks X is a troll etc.
If in doubt, save the seconds or minutes of your limited amount of lifetime it would cost you to post. They sure add up over time.
