Cherub_Enjel's account closed. Chess.com sends a strong message to all the trolls.

Staff will never tell you why a member has been muted or had their account closed.  This is a matter for the account holder and Chess.com.  Speculating like saying 2Q1C is staff often is proven wrong

Once again, we see that the only rule of trolling is:

Know the limits.

2Q was muted 3 times in 1 month.  Are these the kinds of members that we want??  I saw them last night discussing something in a very private setting. Maybe its a mass suicide.

Actually @Urk is still here..... In our hearts of course tongue.png

Funny i thought that about you.

TM;  You mentioned twice in this thread about blocking.  How come 2Q doesn't get that?

Cuz he gets his own personal moderator.  That gift comes with a Get Out Of Jail Fee Card...aka open a new account.

The message is clear now. You can't use Chess.com's forums as your personal playground anymore. First it was @Urk and now it is @Cherub_Enjel, once a valuable contributor who recently went rogue.

It's good to see Chess.com finally taking some action against such anti-social elements. The only question now is. Who's next?

... and that question has been answered.

In any case, does anybody know why Cherub was banned?

Avatar of TRextastic

So much drama. Censorship exists everywhere. Go tell your boss to eff off and see what happens. I don't know why some seem to have a problem with it on a private site. Why anyone would stick up for cherub is beyond me. He promised to never break the rules again as he's posting from a second account...

And I don't care if someone thinks they can get away with racist statements based on technicalities. Him going on and on about how he worded it in such a specific way so it wouldn't get flagged for racism is just proof that he was trying to make racist statements. I'm not sure why it's so difficult for some to just be a normal human being who's talking about chess. That's what this forum is designed for. Not trolling.

And if you need someone to explain the difference between what someone like cherub does vs what someone like kaynight does, then maybe your parents need to take away your internet privileges...

Seeing it that way for some trolls a ban is no punishment at all, rather a wonderful gift for a clean and fresh restart without waiting for a mute to end.

Then the troll has the chance to refine his role play or even jump into a completely different role.

Mmmh...

Ok... turns out I just needed to look over the first page of this thread more carefully.

Filth!

I was just starting a match against Cherub_Enjel, and it was just getting interesting.

Same with me and 2Q. I was actually looking forward to playing out the game.

I like the Filth part...:)
