Are you using the iOS app? What version?

The bug was reported and the developers uploaded a new version to Apple a couple of days ago.

Have you tried it?

I wrote to support@chess.com to find out how ios app users are supposed to report problems or bugs. The answer was to use the Contact Us link in Help (on the app).

It’s happened to me a lot too. I’m on ios14.4. The bug is happening on the iPad, not sure about the iPhone. Today it has happened several times. I have the latest version of the app, it updated today, and my last game a few moments ago timed out on my side but it was other side to play, and I could not move.

I don't have an iphone but I assume the Apple store provides updated versions.

It turns out there are reports that the new version didn't fix everyting anyway and they are working on another update.

I have just updated my iPad, it’s now iOS 12. 5

But this problem is still there , cos I tried playing a new 10 minute game, and again my clock freezes , and again another lost game ! 😤

same issue here. extremely annoying. clock freezes, connection to the server is lost frequently. if i dont pay attention to the clock (and restart the app when it happens) i end up losing the game on timeout. i have the latest version, still the bug happens both on ipad and iphone. until a month ago or so it worked fine.

I have 3.9.15(2) and the problem persists.

Update does not appear in the store until going to the App itself. Then it shows an available update. 

Installed the latest version. No frozen clock here. 
But apparently other users are still experiencing the issue after installing the (2) update 

I’m telling you...

It is not an App issue due to any bug- 

but rather a Server issue due to maximum demands of peak usage.

I have the newest version and happens almost every game

closeing the app and opening it again fixes it, but cost me 1-2 min every game
