It's good to make new friends, isn't it? Anyway, a few minutes ago I tried to hammer away at the Puzzles only to have this pop up...
Chess.com giveth and chess.com taketh away

At least he didn't say: "ok old pig boomer."
I know he was unkind but that would at least be jail sentence!! BTW i reported him what he said ain't nice at all and no one should deal with that! Hes been banned or muted I think!

he'll be back...
Your right! Hes coming for the dog!! Protect it all costs! Bring in the SWAT team!!

Well that was quick action by support, I must say. It's almost as though my "admirer" never existed. Is he smart enough to figure out a way to come back? Probably...

Obviously chess.com first giving me 30 days of diamond and then taking it back a few days later is not nearly as interesting as a fellow member threatening mayhem, but doesn't anyone else find that at least mildly amusing?

Well, 3 days isn't 30, but it's better than nothing!

So my gift has expired, and Billing has yet to get back to me about their payment processor's corrupted database.

So Billing now wants me to use a PayPal account which I politely refused to do, pointing out that the issue is now their refusal to admit something is broken with the way they process Discover Card. And I have been "rediamonded" for a month through the generous donation of another member who prefers to remain anonymous. I am of course quite grateful for this although my fear is that Billing will decide that the problem must now be solved...LOL.
So as a result of a bug preventing me from renewing my diamond membership with a Discover Card, Brother Josh gifted me a 30 day extension a few days ago.
