I get Notifies for my own posts.
Plus - upon clicking on the Alert and going to what it alerts to -
the Alert still stays up there stubbornly even if I 'X' on it.
Theory - these persistent bugs are caused by server overload ?
And what about game lag and slow page-loading?
I couldn't know for 2 reasons. I don't have access to the code.
And I'm not a programmer.
But nonetheless I continue to suggest -
eric should get rid of everything that slows down the server -
including the crazy Clubs popup that hits people who already know about Clubs.
Necessitates an extra mouse slide/click to get rid of it. Minor by itself? Multiplied by millions of members? Adding up with other such needless overloads.
And why have a 200 club limit for members if they can beat it by simply creating new clubs up to as many thousands of clubs as they choose ?
Makes no sense.
Why haven't these things been fixed?
I'm getting the impression that various persons are in the way who are saying things like 'I'm not sure it matters?' or 'chess.com can't please everybody' .... in other words - are in the way of the site ownership hearing about these things and thereby knowing about them and doing something about it.
