I don't understand ur point. Are u asking why members that pay a subscription get facilities that non paying members don't? If that is the question, the answer is simple...it's because we pay and u don't...! Is that so hard to understand?

AndyClifton

Yeah, what are you, a commuist?

bronsteinitz

I understand that you want to know whether the stuff they advertise is real or not? Well it is real and good value for money.

Do you think it's unfair when the supermarket gives people who pay more, more groceries?

ashandpikachu

do you think in stores that its fair in some stores stuff is more expensive and you live near the expensive one?

It's not like you were picked to live there.

If you pay for a service you deserve the services. Likewise if you don't pay for the services, you don't deserve the services. I think it is great that you can be a member and not pay or pay and get additional features. I might even become a paying member in the future, the features seem good and the cost for them is pennies a day, I think the premium is something like $0.27/day, the others far less.

ashandpikachu

so you get tons of stuff for paying 25 cents

Well from the list of premium member features I see you get unlimited use of the tactical trainer program, unlimited use of chess mentor program which has study courses created by masters on many different topics, unlimited access to all video lectures on chess.com which I think are only made by master chess players, unlimited access to all live chess.com tv shows, and more. Click here to see the side by side comparison.

Well, considering we're talking about online stuff here, this analogy doesn't really seem altogether brilliant.

Don't forget the unlimited tactics training and unlimited tournaments too!

After starting out as a free member, I've got to admit, being a diamond member and all now, this is one place where the grass really is greener here on this side.

Get off the fence and come and join us...the water's just fine!

I don't mean to pikonu, but you should look at old threads where members discuss the benefits.

You could ask for it as a gift for your birthday or christmas. Even the Gold Membership is $5/Month, which I'm sure you could probably afford if you mowed some lawns or did extra chores or something like that. To get back to your original point, I think its reasonable that they charge something for the many benefits you can get access to on this site, especially with their prices so low in comparison to what you'd pay for various chess books, coaching fees, and so on.
