I would like the ability to embed a game outside of chess.com. Like you can embed a youtube video, I'd like to have an embeddable chessboard to place on tumblr or other blogs.
It needs not to have controls to actually make moves, but just to move back/forth across the history of the game.
I'm not aware of other chess websites that allow to do this. I think this could be what makes chess.com "viral".

Why don't game alerts appear on the main page? I would love it if I could just type "chess.com" into my browser and see all the games that have updated.

I would like a possibility of training mode example :
I studying the Italians games any, one want to play( an It.) games,or perhaps stonewall.

How about a ratings-floor for use in tournaments...

An app for the iPhone and iPod Touch would be great, I'd spend a lot more time on here if I could access the site that way. Safari on the iPhone is buggy and awful.
hey, today we just got Chess 960. I can't wait to see even more chess variants up on the site. My favorite is Bughouse Chess, but I know of lots more variants we could have.
I would like for the ability to, like in online chess, submit your moves like online chess maybe, but keep it in a reasonable time limit. It would revoulutionize chess.com for a while before people start complaing (even today people complain-i's true everyone, no ones perfect).

More stuff from Roman Dzindzishkashvili! Free members can't see his videos. Maybe if he provides some other stuff, free members will get a better idea of what they're missing? Aw, c'mon, can't we just have some insight from him? have a heart, Eric- He's one of my favorite GM's. If you don't, I'll just visit my premium member friend's house so I can watch on his computer.
I support the idea of having direct links from the game to the game explorer with the current position (if there is one)

I would like Unrated Games without Time Control.
I'd like to be able to sort the Upcoming Tournaments list by rating range, or have the ability to choose the upper and/or lower limit of the tournament, just like we do with Online Chess games.
How about unrated odds games?

A better message board would be awesome.
VB is the best, and they have great support and new features all the time. The updates are free. They're very inexpensive and highly customizable. They're incredible.
This board looks nice and seems to run efficiently, but it certainly leaves a lot to be desired.
Upgrade the forums please. It's not very expensive at all. I bet these boards cost far more to build than a VB set would cost to purchase, and the VB set could run circles around this one.
I've worked on a lot of message boards before and can easily sell you on the idea of upgrading if you're interested. I have a demo site set up I can show you. You'll never be sorry you upgraded.
These boards are good for what they are, but this site would be well served with a more advanced message board for the community.
Is it possible to have videos where you can see the master talking in the corner of the screen? This would really increase the student/teacher interaction, just as in a real lesson. Also having the moves listed together with variations, appearing in a different part of the screen, as a game is discussed would also be very useful.
