OK maybe. But 98% or something like that never use their chess.com account.

OK. But maybe if you got your account and stopped using it within a week, then maybe 6 months later it could be deleted. If you'd NEVER used it, for more than a week...

I'd like to see the possibility for a SAdmin to close and remove a group when there are no more members on it or even when it is just created
Currently there are almost 300 groups with just 1 player, and checking on the groups archive, most of them are created long time ago and with no perspectives to continue nor even to start ever.
Maybe it would be nice a clean up there...
I totally agree
maybe a delete group button (only 4 super maybe just 1 certain super admin)
On the subject of cleaning up, maybe if someone doesn't use their account for 6 months it could be deleted...

6th months isnt long enough i might give up chess during the schoolo year bcause i'll be to busy (but i probably wont
But you have to agree, in principle, that there are too many accounts not being used, never to be used, on chess.com...

New users can't get the names they want. Whilst looking through members you get hundreds of duds. It just generally clogs up the system!
OG
there are to many accounts out of i think 24 pages of members with the name biker in them only about 2 pages are active
But why not DELETE the account?
OG
Because you can't be certain that people won't come back. I can see hiding them from the default member search view -- I think that's a great idea, but I wouldn't delete them outright unless it was after a long period of inactivity (1-2 years) and repeated e-mail notifications (over the course of a few months -- at least 3) that the account was inactive and would be closed.

How about you gat as long as you've been with the site... w/ a minimum of maybe 30 days?
On the subject of cleaning up, maybe if someone doesn't use their account for 6 months it could be deleted...

I don't think so, someone may be forced to not use it for a long time or wants to take a break from chess and he would like to come back after e.g. 1 year. Especially if he/she has a good rating that would be lost.
