From Spain. (Checking the home page)

URL: http://www.chess.com
Load Time: 0.2073 seconds
Page Size: 33.28 kb

(This is just the X-HTML plain code)

When I test the time loading the whole page, it takes something like this:

Website information

Total loading time:
5.2 seconds
Total objects:
179 (349.9 KB)
External objects:
178 (316.4 KB)
HTML (X)HTML:
1 (33.5KB)
RSS RSS/XML:
0
CSS CSS:
1 (61.1KB)
Scripts Scripts:
4 (89.2KB)
Images Images:
173 (166.1KB)

At any rate, I can't compare with the previous days situation. Besides, the Home Page is continously changing, so it would useless too. (I had some test archive on the home page, but I realise they are tested when the HOME page was simplier, as it took just 2,6 sec around 9 months ago)

However, if you want to define a standard testing page, I can try it periodically from here to see if there are real improvements.. :)

I THINK it may be faster, but I can't see too much of a difference to notice.

I'm running a mac with Safari in the US and a few game pages have really been slow; so slow that I had to refresh the browser and then they came up.

Avatar of deepOzzzie

um to me there seems to be very little difference.

Whatever you did has possibly resolved some of the issues I had about logging on through the school filters.  I like to use this site with my chess club by showing them examples and some of the awesome tools you have available on this site.

Now that you mentioned it... it is faster...:). Did you catch my post about best wins stats (Top 10 Best Wins Stat)?

It looks as fast as in the beginning of March, certainly much faster than in the last days.

I was using tactics trainer this morning and I thought it was running a bit faster. At one point I was taken aback with how quickly it moved onto the next puzzle, but I thought nothing of it until I recieved a message off chess.com notifying me of the changes.

hello. everything is fine so far, couldn't notice any difference; but then again, my computer is really old, and it always works slow... anyway, thanks for keeping up the good work!

Have not noticed a change but I do thank you for keeping me informed.

Love your site

I'm finding the site viciously slow today actually.  Sometimes I have to hit refresh to get a page to fully load, game diagrams take ages etc.

Its alwasy been fast for me, but It does seem to load the page all at one more often now. It used to load pages part by part in the past.

I really struggled to login & play in the last two days. I was getting blank screen frequently. Not faced much problem today

We made a pretty dramatic change to Chess.com today. We're now using a new service that is supposed to make everything faster, especially for non-US members.

The first few pages might load more slowly (as the site figures out where you are and gets some initial files), but should be zippy after that. Let us know what you think!

 Its work very good

I've been having a problem with the analysis board and the TT since the change was made. In both cases, the boards seem to flash for a few seconds before the pieces settle into their position. This is very distracting and annoying, to say the least. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.

Eric, help!!
