Chessdotcom Hiring?

How is the search going? I would be beyond ecstatic to get the job. Good luck, hope you find the right person for the job.

How's my get-paid-just-for-being-me application coming along?
The cheque's in the mail.

Oooh, that's what that message meant: when I saw the phrase "your favorite website is hiring," I rushed over to upsidedowndogs.com, and: nothing. I never thought for a moment it was referring to chess.com.

How many hours per week would chess.com need the successful applicant to work?(Customer Support and QA)
Salander

Dear Pedroe-I am one of the candidates for the position
Finalising my application now.
Perhaps if you knew all that was really involved you would not be so keen-it's tough!

Aware and still keen. Agreed, it is tough.

Work is work, right? If we are able to spend our mental/physical energy on something we enjoy, then that's game. I myself have also applied not too long ago, and want to make sure my application is being checked. I applied for the customer service application. This kind of work for me is so ideal. The computer is never out of my way. I do so many things on it. Weather it being watching tv with friends, playing games, or going to school. I'm always on the computer. It would be great if I could make my computer part of my work schedule. How could I be late? Plus, as my school tells me, every day could be PJ day. And I could bring my pets to work, too. I love it.
I am aware that chess.com is also seeking a graphic artist. I didn't put this in my application but I will one day be a great graphic artist as I am studying in visual effects and motion graphics at an art institute. I would have filled out the application but it said I needed to be greatly experienced which I am not... As of now I am doing art in school and in free time along with a few contests in hopes for prizes.
yet. I have a question, though. I see another post which asks how long would an employee have to work in this position. I see a response that sasy 40 hours. This makes me think. Who determines which 40 hours of the week the employee will work? Would it be the supervisors? I would imagine so, as I would think there needs to be a certain amount of moderators on at a certain time. WIth regulation, this would be easier to acheive.

i want to make sure that i will know if i am accepted to the job, i applied to the customer service.
do you inform the ones that didn't get the job about it? i filled the form a few weeks ago (i think) and didn't get any response, does it mean i didn't get the job or it means you are still looking on all the applications?
thanks
You guys are hiring right? I was so excited I went and filled out the application and then thought, hello, I hope that wasn't a phishing expedition? Crosses fingers.
