Hey I'm a beginner/intermediate player living in Chicago, looking to find some more people to play over the board. I started playing bots in November and joined this site to play humans in January. I'm open to playing anyone, but I just cracked 1100 a few days ago, so I'm looking for people interested in playing someone of this skill level. Any folks out there who share these interests? I'd also appreciate advice on any active clubs or get togethers in Chicago. Of course things are tough with COVID, so that's something to hash out as well. I'm quickly becoming obsessed with this game. For someone who wasn't sure how to castle, and had never heard of en passant or pawn promotion a few months ago, I think I'm showing decent progress, dedication, and interest.
