1. They seek more attention by being friends with me as they know that reporters and mods will be checking my friend list.

I understand, but why are these new accounts immediately seeking you out? Why would all of them know who you are?

Does that simply mean that the majority of all these newly created accounts are created by the same person, hence is why they know who you are and befriend you as a type of running gag?

I can't really see any other reason, because we are talking 100+ accounts at this point.

If they were all created by different people, then it wouldn't make any sense that each and every one of them know exactly who you are and understand the significance of sending you a friend request.

Pulpofeira

It must be a cult.

drmrboss joined in 2008, is there anyone among us with an earlier join date? I don't think so. Hmmm..

Pulpofeira

I didn't have internet until 2013.

Colby-Covington

Why is that? I thought Spain was quite the technologically advanced country?

If I were a serial troll with a million accounts, and I saw that my friending drmrboss made people talk about me, then I'd continue to send him friend requests right away.

If I were drmrboss, a guy who doesn't take the forums very seriously, enjoys posting seriously and also playing around, and I saw that accepting these friend requests made people speculate about me, then I'd continue to accept the friend requests.

But what if......

You are actually both of these guys from the beginning

Colby-Covington

I mean just think about it.

Why do literally every single one of these newly created accounts, without fail, also send a frend request towards drmrboss?

There is only one logical explanation.

1.)80-90% of these accounts are created by the same person, hence they continue the tradition of befriending drmrboss, because the have prior knowledge of the situation.

It is simply too unlikely for 100+ random people to immediately send a friend request to drmrboss after just joining the forum. Why would they have such inside knowledge?

I am convinced it's the same person most of the time.

llama44

Yeah, I think it's the same guy or 2 or something like that.

But some people seem to be mad at drmrboss. I think drmrboss just finds it all funny.

astroawe3

I unblocked u llama, I think u still blocking tho

Bad_Dobby_Fischer

For some reason, there's a trend here on chess.com to call people who make jokes trolls. Those two should not be considered the same behavior

I played one of the probably YGNR accounts.  I am fairly sure this is the same person in the profile picture:

https://www.chess.com/daily/game/213919684

I was just hoping he/she would be banned before crushing me.  Sure enough it happened.

It is the same person in the photo as at least two other accounts.  A reverse image search lead to a post including "spicy pictures" of her on a 4chan page.  Since I mentioned that on this forum, the post has gone.  Hmmm.

Actually I remember she/he tried to trigger me in the chat.  I didn't take the bait.

A fairly established trolling technique of pretending to be a newbie.  Making trolling opening moves, then crushing the opponent.  Followed by posting the private chat in the forum.

It's fun watching to see when you figure it out each time.

And when you do, you get real excited like, "omg guy's [sic] it's stiggling omg I solved the puzzle it's really him guy's [sic]"

lol

I think those opening moves were fine.

Yes in my game.  But check out the other games.  Also this person appeared about a few weeks after someone who was the same person in the profile picture had been banned.  They had posted numerous games in the Showcase or Analysis, where they were blatantly trolling.

Yeah, nothing gets by this mark guy. His new buddy @nyanut can vouch for that. It's like if Batman and the Riddler had a baby and named it Sherlock Holmes.

Who can I vouch for?

Jimmy Mcmillan

Nobody does, it's a secret.
