Crazy to think that the "ez" commenters have been around for 18 years. People never change.

Almost 20 years and we are still stuck to the root of the "problem".

I understand Chess.com has some achievements based on the amount of posted comments to keep the site busy but, on the other hand, this is what we get.

People post and comment stuff because of the awards. That's it! Remove the awards for comments, blogs, etc..., and 80% (maybe even more) will be gone, vanished. Ideal for some people, bad for others. Coz the minds behind Chess.com (the ones that make the money) will be pushing to find ways to keep people engaged and with a high traffic. The longer, the better.

Also, how big is an "ideal comment"? 7 lines? 50 words? Coz the majority of people, these days, will find this comment I'm posting already "too much to read". Will we need to find a way to fit our comments in a "TikTok" style? Like, no more than 30 seconds to read it?

I think there is no way to make it stop (completely). All I do, as much as I can, is to just ignore it.

Come back when you have finished the "Text Understanding" lesson.

Oh, and gimme a shout as well, so we can carry on with the debate.

Otherwise, this will be just like your arguments. Pointless.

wink
