Would you care to be any more specific in your enquiry?

"Who cares?" is a question, a query, an inquiry, an enquiry and an interrogative sentence - but a non-specific one. Hence my question to niddrieboy, requesting clarification of the scope of his question i.e. what is it, that is not being cared about?
On the assumption that niddrieboy was referring to 'being talked about (in the forums)', I then answered the question: why might it matter to know whether one was being talked about? I used as an instance, that if I was being seriously defamed (libelled), I would have available to me recourse to legal remedies.
I hope this clears up any confusion, Egoigwe. Thank you for you enquiry.
P.S. I never use emoticons or other indications of humour. :)

Certainly one can already Google the site - and by restricting the search to the Forums, locate references to specific members (and exclude games). This doesn't constitute an alert. I would have to stay on the alert to pick up new references dyamically. There are, apparently - if you can quite believe it, more important considerations at this site than being talked about!

You are all curious as to who said the saying, 'Mind you when they are talking about you as the saying goes, they are leaving someone else alone' Well it was my mom, and My Granny. That's where I know it from.

She's quite well-known. Even I have heard of the Queenie Mother.

Should I worry about someone chasing me with a shillelagh?
No need to embed Google. Just do a site specific search.

If you do any programming, you can write a script that essentially will set up your own search engine and get an auto-notifcation if certain keyphrases show up on the site. Creating a SE is pretty basic stuff; a good one less so.
