Let's say that I'm a FM and I recently got a IM title 

Does chess.com allow me to update the title?

you have to verify again for the IM title once FIDE confirms that you are a IM

I don't believe you have to verify again. As soon as the title is awarded, you should be able to contact support to get it updated

Yeah, the verification for when you get your first title means you just need to tell Support when you get your next title, and they can confirm by just looking you up on the FIDE website

Just contact chess.com support and that’s all you have to do
