I wouldn't go as far as to label 2.c4 dubious but black seems to have the better chances in practice. I agree that white's position is easy to play as it involves a lot of stereotyped moves.

What do you think of this variation, its an uncommon reply to the silcilian that treats to to into a Botvinnik System or Marozy Bind.
Mostly games with white in the second kind are really easy to play by white.
