it is also noticeable and telling that some staff members i have dealt with in the past are posting their same bs responding to members in other topics, but have stayed away from this one. 

a cursory post means nothing if the issue(s) brought forward are described (as it has been to me) as "we'll get back to you", and then there is no follow up.

Temporary blocking (even for the chronically guilty) is a good rule of thumb.

nothing in this topic for the members and nothing when we send in a ticket. 

but, god forbid i write the competitor's name where i am now going to play...

To 52's point, Chess.com is best served on wry.

Yes.  It is apparently in the terms of service we all agree to.  Oh, forgot... it also says that chess.com can change any standard at any time on a case by case basis.  Which, is what happens on a painfully awful & often basis.

Perhaps it will taste better served with a little salt?

thanks so much for chiming in with relevant commentary (oh, and thanks for the pm with name-calling included! you're a class act!)

up until yesterday-yes, just yesterday, i was a paying member here, so, thanks for paying attention...

also, if you had bothered to read the topic, you would see that the issues brought forth are not parsed based on whether the member pays or does not.
