extremely disappointed in foul language used by losing players.

There's a really helpful article in the FAQ ion dealing with rude or abusive opponents: https://support.chess.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1444877-what-should-i-do-if-another-member-is-rude-or-abusive-

you can report them by submitting a ticket

A decent option is to disable chat.
Not only do I hate it when people get vulgar when they lose, but those people who talk crap before the game even starts drives me nuts as well.....especially when they win.

As annoying and diappointing as it can be in regards to how people act online. Remmeber this. Those same people dont act that way in person. The power on annonymity can be a huge negative unfluence on some people.
I've never had a conversation in a chess chat window... which makes sense, both my opponent and I are there to play a game.
Well, other than "hi" answered by "hi" or "gg" answered by "gg."
I don't know why some people don't like it when chat is automatically disabled. To me it makes sense to have this option activated.
Look for this setting

A modern day urban legend that annononymity makes people more rude or unkind. If there is more rudeness in the world it's simply because people choose to behave that way.

Not more now than earlier, simply more anonymity... but anonymity has always always had this effect e.g. what's commonly called "road rage."
Ever heard some of those funny stories of people who have tailgated, honked, and etc... then the car in front of them pulls into the same parking lot... and oops, a co-worker gets out

There was a time when people were generally taught manners and the community as a whole greatly benefits from that. It's something sadly lacking in our modern day but I don't believe it has totally disappeared. It's just harder to find. If you're going to teach common courtesy, it must start while a child is young, and it's the responsibility of the parent to see that it is taught.
"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers."

I can't believe the foul language used by sore losers in this game. Why is there no means of reporting them with chat history??
