I think a fun thing in the forums would be more discussion of current chess events, like the olympiad, specific match ups of top GMs, the week's USCL leage bets, comments and analyses of those recent games etc.
The never resign and the best player discussions will always be there through circulating members, they are not much of a problem for me. What I don't like is the growing tendency of members to collectively start posting random and irrelevant memes and photos of the like in every discussion. I think they are very rarely funny, intelligent and to the point. Along with those photo flooding goes, because of the nature of most memes and photos, the mock and scorn of some members over others. That is already done way too much with ordinary text posts, but the meme inflation adds to it.
Chess can bring people of very different backgrounds and character. We sometimes forget that the very "stupid" question might belong to a child who is just learning how to use the computer or some technophobic elderly person. The same goes with comments.
I don't understand your "convict" pseudo British slang, sorry.
Don't worry about not understanding other cultures mate: thats become The American Way.
I understood almost all that.
