Hi, You may be aware that Magnus Carlsen is one of the best FPL players in the world. Interestingly, his twitter bio also lays claim to this.

The above URL shows him when beating all 7.2 million players. The URL below is an auto-join link to FPL Chess. ( twitter presence is @FPL_Chess ) To join manually, the code is 3v58je
It's a mini-league that has been going since 2010/11 season and there's usually over 750 players every year. Last year we ended up with exactly 850. Anyway, you're all very welcome.

My history in chess pales in comparison. I played (and won) 12 games of chess on the World Championship Chess Board over the 3 days of the match between Garry Kasparov and Anatoly Karpov at the Park Lane Hotel in 1986. I was working there on nights, so only played other members of staff while everyone slept; although I got to speak to Anatoly once.
He asked me where the toilet was. Anyway, there are no prizes for winning FPL Chess, just fame and glory, and you'll join the long line of Grandmasters on my pinned tweet. If you win the whole thing however, it still might not bring you riches, but world fame will certainly be thrust upon you.
