Which is better? They often suggest me different moves. I use only iPad never PC and the game review depth is fixed to 18, while self-analysis (if I wait few seconds) can reach 23 or 25. Any advise? Thanks

In general, the deeper an engine gets, the more accurate it will be.

I like self-analysis best.

Thank you to both of you 👍🏻

The best method is to analyze the position with your own mind, not with an engine.

What is it that you are trying to LEARN? Is it "What was the best move in some random position that I'll probably never encounter again"? Why would you waste time and effort studying THAT?

Or is it "What is the best way of LOOKING at a chess position? How do I go about FINDING a good move? What is the process for CHOOSING good plans and good moves?"

Because an engine will not teach you any of that. You can only learn that by studying a position with the chess engine OFF.

So using the engine is called "self-analysis" now on chess.com? This is truly insane.
