Why is consistently about 9 out of 10 of those abandoning games American?

FDrebin, it could be because of the time of the day you normally play. When I play, the overwhelming majority of my opponents are Indian or Middle Eastern. So, the majority of people that do this to me are from that region. There is also the fact that USA has one of the largest number of computing devices per person on the world. So, by numbers alone, thus number might be skewed against your American opponents (i.e more of a chance that your opponent might be simply a sore loser).
