Road Warrior, released here as Mad Max -if my memory serves me well- was set more in the 'Outback' than the suburbs. Mind you, those 'size-nervous' V8 aficionados -known here as 'hoons' or 'petrol-heads' or 'rock-apes' or just plain 'dills' (that's 'idiots' in just plain English)- too often regard the 50km suburban speed-limit as a reminder to change into 2nd gear!
On a more personal note, my ex-betterthreequarters used to be in the acting business when Mel Gibbon was just starting; later she'd often bemoan not having thought of method-acting the CatholicVirgin role whenever Mel was about.

Actually Andy, I have seen that. The alternate title had me fooled. ("Childs-play" I hear you cry!) - The risk of not 'Wikipedia-ing' constantly is to appear even more stupid than I do usually. So: "Who's the dill now, eh ?!" (or galah: another Australianparrot and yet another Australian colloquialism for idiot. They -the birds- are worth several thousand$ in SEAsia: and right now, I can see a couple of dozen of them on the front lawn happily munching grass roots. Fools.
(Crimson Rosellas are priceless but)
Anyway I'd pictured something more on par with the Blue Lagoon genre.
Come to think of it, I'm not sure that was Australian. So...

Well, after that hiatus (love that word!) from our mutual riling, I'm off to snare some of those Galahs and then wing it to Bangkok. HaHaHa! But perhaps I'll just have a coffee and a bagel or two first. Maybe a littlle relaxation.

As for the galahs! Ten gorilla$ a pair, or so I'm told.(no accounting for taste)
They're not parrakeets either: but these budgies are.
Green and yellow are their natural colours; all those blues and whites are down to eugenic-type breeding. Speaking of which... I forget which year of the 1930's it was exactly, but at one stage Hitler banned the Jews from owning "decent, Aryan budgerigars"! You'd think that would've finally opened everyone's eyes to the menace of Nazism. And they're lousy at Chess too, young Atomic-Rift. So don't go looking for positive compliments from those little blighters! (budgies that is:not nazis) (Just to stay vaguely on topic!)

Thanks for the heads up on the missing word from that post Atomic-Rift . I fixed it, but I always feel so shamefully WinstonSmith-ish when I go back and edit away my clumsiness! (If you don't get that last reference Atomic, well - you know how to remedy that.)
As for the dissappearing images, I've previously noticed pasted pictures don't survive the 'quote' process. That's whiteman'smagic for you! (And there is absolutely no offence intended or to be inferred there)
