yeah welcome to them but like so many mods on the same day?
Does that raise literally no suspicion...

Mods think colby is a burning pile of garbage so don't worry about that.
They essentially removed him from the forums... not by force I imagine, but by setting boundaries strict enough that he made the calculation it's safer for him to stay in his clubs... also clubs are where he can pretend to be king so it's a win-win.
true
I thought accounts banned for fair play can't be reopened again?
I will list all of the recent mod accounts
I don't care a bit about your reasoning but seriously how can you be so naive
Alright time for the list
1. @UpbeatAngle
2.@Olympiad
3. @CaptJackaubry
4.@chanceloveandlogic
5.@Marekchess2020
6.@LetsJustBeFriendly
7. @sactheattack
8.@PieceBringer
Please at least check the credibility of these accounts...
They are probably people who got hired in real life or got training first prior to making those accounts. I'm sure the site owners know them enough to trust them with this. I don't think you need to be concerned about that. It’s their site. They know better.
so weird why ??
Because mods need to know advanced coding to fix the bugs and all such things
As usual- all this speculation completely misses the mark regarding the new mods. Allegations, cries of foul play, credibility are nonsense. You people really need to step back and take a deep breath before the knee jerk reactions that have not a clue what is going down.
I think that they are either mods making alts to use for special reasons(as @david said himself), or that they are bots or something.
But, if you go here you can see batgirl talking about @erik making them. Not sure if it was sarcasm or not.
I am concerned these mods are using their mod status for nefarious purposes. They are locking threads left and right and the reasons for this never happened anywhere in the thread.
I might be wrong but just pay attention.
This is plain common sense.
1. Chess.com is NOT naïve, they are smart people who can actually make a good website.
2. Obviously there's a reason. Maybe they are test accounts, or alts. Maybe they are the mod's main account. If you've seen, there are some accounts that is literally their name, such as
@david
@erik
@shaun
@Amelia
Stuff like that. Maybe the accounts are their main accounts they use to do different things beside moderating.
Lol, you don't care about their reasoning. How pathetic.
With 100k new members daily, it is not surprising that more mods are needed. One doesn’t need to look hard to find membership desiring more mod help for various reasons. Given the degeneration of forum content over the last few years I say it’s a welcome development. Anything to clean up what needs cleansing and strengthening an already awesome site gets enthusiastic support from this member.
Umm yeah I just saw that they joined like 9 hours ago and already a mod? I'm doubting if they're legit.
Welcome new member!!!!
