How did chess.com forums changed you?

Ill start with my story.
Comming from a community called StackExchange, (I was mainly in the Physics and Overflow site) I was waiting for a semi-dead but very serious commnity, full of analysis but without a single human touch to it. I was also serious, I worked quite hard on my answers, trying to get badges. I usually worked hard, smoked quite some weed to get some interesting questions rolling, some of them surpassing the 10k views in few days.
However when I joined chess.com I was surprised, literally no one answered my thread. And I saw weird posts that were fun! I was quite a serious guy back in then, trying only to talk about chess, and be helpful to the community.
However something changed deep inside me, I felt my core rotenning and soon enough people started to call me a troll. They would throw pesticides at me, call me stupid, bully me. I felt hated, but it felt good. I could troll and act as a retard in my home!
Since then I have wasted incredible ammounts of time in this thread, my wife divorced me after I entered this page, I got a restriction on my 10 kids, my steroid addiction got stronger, and my rating increased BY 1000 POINTS.
IT WAS GREAT. I COULD HAVE FUN, PLAY CHESS AND SOCIALIZE. SINCE THEN MY LIFE HAS BEEN SO MUCH BETTER.
THANKS CHESS.COM FOR THIS WONDERFUL SITE.

Were the forums creepy for you? Come on bud, tell us your story, how did forums changed you.

Esoy bien, y tu? Por que encuentras mi imagen como "creepy"? Es el cerdito babe, con un photoshop perfecto echo por mi. Parece que bronstein es el cerdito babe.
EL CERDITO BABE ES AMOR, EL CERDITO BABE ES VIDA.

So forums didnt change you?
Whaat do you think about my story GUYZ? Am I the only one that changed for good with the forums?

Previous to coming to this site (i've been here around 4 years) I had been at other chess sites which also had forums so i pretty much knew what to expect. The main thing is the op has no control over how people will post. Many will rather make what they think will be a clever quip that to respond to any point the op has made.
Most players here won't respond at all instead they will just read what other players posted.Often the posts will jump completely offtrack and start being about totally diffent things.
I think i can honestly say that the forums have had 0 effect on me.

Before I came to Chess.com, sometimes I would hit the bowl and sometimes I wouldn't
Before I came to Chess.com, I use to fall off roofs alot.

Chess.com forums are mostly rubbish, but there are some great threads, but few and far between. The threads are a natural habitat for trolls!

Thanks BronsteinPawn for starting this potentially interesting thread. And I'm glad to hear you're feeling more user-friendly. In reply to your question, the main lesson that the forum has taught me is that peace of mind is easier to maintain if we resist the urge to argue with those who try to provoke us. The internet is full of nonsense (as well as valuable information), but it's not my job to fix it.

Before joining chess.com, I used to be a troll. Now, 7 months later, I am still a troll
By the way, it is always interesting to have a non-white background while reading the forums.

Lol, did you really download chess.com's extension and put the forums background on black?
I thought no one would find out.
Where did you use to troll? I first started trolling on here.
Chess.com is a great family friendly community with chess enthusiasts from all over the world.

I am just curious as too how the forums changed you as an internet human being.
