A very rich middlegame position.

I was talking with Stockfish yesterday and found very interesting lines in a seemingly innocent position from a Torre Attack, enjoy.

Seems like Moiseev found the best move, but later on commited some weird mistakes, I would like to explain this with a quote from Bronstein's Zurich 1953.
In the first round when commenting the game between L. Szabo and Geller.
After Szabo declined the draw that would arise due to move repetition Bronstein said:
"Losing one's objectivity when evaluating a position is equivalent to losing the game".

And that is what happened both In Szabo's and Moiseev's game, both overestimated their position which led to their defeat.

I forgot mentioning that if White tries to hang on to the pawn on move 18 with Qb5 he enters a losing endgame.

Yeah, Qb3 was not good. Never heard of Moiseev, but a quick google says he was an engineer by trade and later in life got the IM title. Bronstein is generally going to make these people look foolish after a small mistake like this.

Playing over the game, I get the feeling white can almost hold on... but black plays really well, and in the end white's minors are never doing anything.

No comments on my great opening ideas? What do you preffer from all of them? Did you like them? Would you play them OTB? Hello? How are you? Jummy jummy in my tummy?

I personally found my g4! idea (inside the 10.Qc2 variation) followed by h3 and Nh2!! very nice. Squeeze me like a lemon baby!

Reminded me of KID and pirc stuff, didn't look at it closely because I don't find openings that interesting, sorry tongue.png

Yeah, g4 made Nh5 look bad, maybe Nh7 is correct.

Openings are the soul of chess and when the real battle happens, GMs will not outplay their peers or will not find Morphy combinations in the middlegame, but they will find many ideas on the openings, where the creativity of a player rocket shoots to the skies.

HOW DO YOU FIND OPENINGS NOT INTERESTING BRAH?
DO YOU EVEN CHESS?

The middlegame and endgame are the most interesting to me.

Frankly you can afford some BS here and there in the opening, the specific moves aren't so important unless you're a pro.

Compare this to the rest of the game though, and it's not the same. Make a mistake or two in the middle (and especially endgame) and you'll probably lose on the spot.

Actually Ng7 is better. Not obvious though.

Ikr, not easy to spot illegal moves.
