I have turned sound off but interface will not allow me to save. I get a red circle with a line through it. I am on Linux accessing via the web interface.
How do I turn off that annoying computer voice announcing moves
Hmm. A Linux setup. What browser?
https://www.chess.com/settings/coach
Doesn't save changes?
Are cookies disallowed?
Perhaps a bug report would be helpful to alert the developers and perhaps get a solution.
Linux Mint. Firefox. Chess.com changed something about 3 months ago, I started getting requests to turn mic on when I went to play and declined but I still get the annoying voice every game. Changes are now saved, I have turned sounds off and cookies are allowed. Does anyone ever test the chess.com changes on Linux? This is about 7 or 8 issues now I have had and its not just Firefox, same behavior on Chrome.
The computer voice is so annoying I am going to not renew my chess.com membership. I fuing hate it and no one will respond.
Chess.com has absolutely zero support. This feature is a showstopper. I fu%^ing hate it and cant turn off that metallic nasal voice. I have poured through all menus and turned off everything related to sound and still it persists. It is hardcoded!
Is there anyway to do a bug report. This is 100% reproducible and occurs all the time, this is what makes it so annoying. 6 months and counting with ZERO support.

Have you tried the mic button from the screenshot above?

I hate it and I cannot turn it off. Every move e4 and so on in that stupid computer voice. This recently got turned on and is a complete annoyance when playing, like someone shouting at you.
