And we don’t do rituals before starting our chess games,And I personally won’t take naps!.Most of the “titled players” won’t be sleeping much.They would be analyzing positions,Doing puzzles,Reviewing their old games etc..It takes bout 2-3am midnight for them to sleep (I guess).and naps are healthy! You can take em if you want. coffee Power naps are efficient!
Listening to calm and chill music while playing chess is okay! But if it’s distracting you too much then it’s a strict “No No” for beginners.
If you are gonna prepare for a chess tournament,I would suggest you doing chess puzzles,Playing against the computer,reviewing your mistakes,Playing practice games,Studying openings,Mastering endgames.

So i'm not sure the question is clear, it's about what you do before and while playing chess, do you have a ritual, something like that ?
Personnaly for example, I alwaays have something to drink (often coffee) and chill music, but I'm looking for other rituals maybe more effective because I often tilt and I feel like if I could prepare myself better, I wouldn't tilt so often.
And a last question, do you often take a nap, and if you do, do you think it helps you not to tilt or just to play better than if you wouldn't ?
