Hi kaynight. I'm honestly not taking it seriously, just curious. You yourself have 237 designated friends - why so many? Serious question. Is it that you've played an enjoyable game, they want to be friends so you say yes?
How many friends do you have?

Some people like to collect coins, others like to collect stamps, and still others like to collect"friends". There is little if any benefit to accepting a friend request. After having played here for approx. three years, Ihave refused at least 100 requests.I recommend that you do yourself a favor and do the same. Aggie

I don't have many "friends" here in chess.com I currently have 101, and the ones I've accepted are either because I know them, or so I can see when they're live (like for partnering someone in bughouse, or playing a few blitz games). Other than that I don't accept people...

One of the reasons for accepting a friend is to remember who I agreed to teach. The only friend I have is Tamara, who I see every week at a chess club. The rest are people who requested my friendship after playing a game or meeting in a club--maybe after they read one of my posts and really liked my strict approach.

I have over 300 and can't remember them all... generally when someone sends a friend request I accept unless there's a specific reason not to.
I sometimes send friend requests as well - but obviously not everybody will accept them.

Was the op referring to a friend request from stuzzi? If not, one will be forthcoming ...
I haven't had a friend request from Stuzzi😆🤣..... must check on privacy settings,....... Check✔️😇

But when I refuse a friend request I feel guilty. Or like I'm acting like a stuck-up cow (British slang). But not a serious problem. 😀

Hi aglitatta
Best wishes that you and the rest of the people of Florida will be safe when Hurricane Irma arrives.
Someone just sent me a Friend request but I said No because he already had over 300 friends. He would never be able to remember so many people.
Do people send Friend requests because they want to be friends? Or simply because they played someone who was OK, so just want a reminder that they would be happy to play them again?
Any other reasons?
