How many games are you currently playing?

Please put the number you are playing before your reply.

Anyway, one of my opponents was taking the maximum time to respond so I looked at how many games he is currently playing. And it is 528 (five hundred and twenty eight)! Like wow, it makes my 5 (five) kinda puny. I've not mentioned his name but if you look at my games you'll see who it is.

So, two questions please.

(1) How many games are you currently playing?

(2) What is the maximum number that you're comfortable with.

I do not play more than 2 games at a time.  And it is always correspondance chess.  One time under an old account i was playing a guy that had over 1700 games going at once.  Yea...1700.

I am playing against someone that has a lot of games.  He doesn't really time out, but he makes a move close the to the 3 day limit.  The games really stretch out.

1. None.

2. Zero. Even the thought of chess is deeply uncomfortable. Actually playing a game leaves me on the edge of a nervous breakdown.

Why did you lose the games when your diamond membership expired?  Are non-premium members limited on the number of games?

yes too many daily games are pushing the server to its limits and then there wont be a titled tuesday nobody can want that

I'm normally comfortable with 5 or 6 (I don't really care about daily chess).

Do people watch Title Tuesday?  I think a Blundered Tuesday tournament of players under 700 would be more exciting.  It would be like watching a professional golfer in the deep rough.  We all have been there and can relate.

1. I'm currently playing 7 games.
2. I think I've had like 15 games going on at once. It was doable, but especially at the starting phases you could be hopping between games every few minutes. Once the games settle down and start to have a phase of 2-3 moves per day, it becomes much more manageable. I think 15-20 games I could comfortably play at the same time, if I phase them out a bit (not starting all 20 games at once). For me something like 10 games at once is probably the best option. That way I can try to spend a few minutes on every move without really having to give up all my free time on playing chess.

I normally don't like to play more than 6 at a time simply because I can't allot more time to chess without cutting back on other things I enjoy.

I've played several players with more than 200 games going and don't know whether to admire them or feel sorry for them.  Their daily ratings are generally in the 1700-1900 range and having moved significantly for a long time so I assume the huge number of games is due to sheer enjoyment.
