Before I get accused of stealing this topic, full credits go to @Nightly-Knight for the original forum about this. I've linked it below.

The vast majority of forum users would have seen the above forum at some point but an important part was missed off from being discussed. Once you've actioned the above points, how do you know its worked? how do you measure your 'stats' regarding your new found fame? I've collated a list below, so you can verify the effectiveness of your recent efforts.

1. Checking the number of profile views. Go to your profile and hover over the avatar/connection image. This will give you the number of views you have. This should be at least 10000 for someone to be considered truly famous. But above 1000 should suffice for an account that's fairly new.

2. Similar to the above, you also need to check how many followers you have. These are the people that get notified when you're online. If you've got at least 100, you're doing well.

3. Number of Friends must be 100 or more. You really need a cult following of at least 100 members. It will make you appear popular and will add authority to your comments in forums etc. Obviously these can't all be alts but around 10% could be. These friends need to be active in their support for you, having your alts will help with this.

4. 100 Club Members needed. This will not only add authority to what you say but will make it seem like you have an exclusive following. The club needs to be active and growing fast. People need to feel like their missing out by not being in your club.

5. When you make regular new forums, they need to explode quickly to make it look like your popular. Having a forum that doesn't make at least 500 comments isn't going to cut it. Your vast friends list will help, even if these are your alts.

6. When you join a forum, your spamming can't just interrupt to conversation, you must completely divert the conversation! Everyone in the forum should divert over to what you wrote and the remainder of the forum must be on this subject. Needless to say, the more controversial the better! Anyone who tries to get the forum back on topic needs to be shouted down quickly to ensure your interruption stays as to topic. This will let you know you have enough influence.

7. Get your friends to talk about you in forums they make. People will see this as a sign that your truly famous as you have power even when your not there. Be sure to show up though, so that everyone links your name to your input. When your famous, your friends will great your entrance with cheers and recognition.

8. Your enemy's will spend most of their forum time arguing with you. Once your famous, you'll earn a few enemy's from all the controversial posts you've made. When they join forums solely to argue with you, you know you've made it. Even better if they were famous before.

9. The mods will have muted you on multiple times. If you've been muted it means people have reported you, or mods have noticed you in the forums. Remember to make new forums telling everyone you've been muted again! You might even be on your second account! although this will slow down your progress so make sure to keep the username as similar as possible and have the same profile picture. If you're going to be kicked out, make sure to close you account before the mods do and make up some excuse about it when your new account is made.

10. You'll have been actively posting in the forums for a few months at least and earned the affectionate nickname troll by anyone who argues with you. Anyone who became famous, didn't overnight. It will have taken time to get where you are and earn the recognition for the points above.

Any other tips:

Just remember, playing chess isn't important. Having a memorable username is as well as a profile picture that distinguish you as much as possible from the crowd. Never admit you're wrong and request friends from as many people as possible. Friends equal power and power = fame. Friends also tell you that you've become famous and isn't that what you wanted all along!?

This is being edited. Please add any others I've missed below.
