You have to pay for a membership. Gold will unlock stars, Platinium will unlock stars and crowns, Diamond will unlock all. All the emojis are available with a membership. The blue pawns are for the moderators and the green pawns are for the chess.com staff. The Ukrainian flag and the Ukrainian bird are free for all. Hope that helped you !
Nope, not that I know of. You can just choose the colour you like.
