This is a fun & instructive new project we're kicking off this week - by publishing a new plan every day!
What's a "Study Plan" you say? Well, check out the announcement in the official blog; then have a gander at the first Plan!
Lots more to come! :)
a new one every day?? For how long?
Till Friday! Then a brief pause before intermediate material comes together next. :)
Yeppers! Really excited about this: We have been working really hard on these things, and we think our "recommended systems for improvement" are going to be of HUGE help to people... Let us know your thoughts!
Awesome!! Cant wait for the higher level plans!!
very nice idea ..
.. and it goes perfectly well with the philosophy of the site ,
"Play, Learn, Share" :)
i'm sure members will love those "study plans" .
thanks for the work
Brilliant work chess.com, The most educational chess website in the world!!!
And here is the 2nd plan... first in the series for Beginners:
awesome, I am bookmarking every one!
We'll update the announcement every day (through Friday) to link in the new Plan.
Wait - if I am already taking lessons with a GM, will this be a replacement or a supplement?
Can you really ever "replace" private lessons with a GM??? More of a supplement in your case, but for many, it will be the best "guidance" they have ever had!!!
Common sense even tells ME that! You would think a NM would realize it.
I really appreciate this job you're doing in chess.com!
Today's newly published study plan has landed ~ & it's full of tactics!
We're done for this week! The Beginner Study Plan Series is now complete. :) Stay tuned though, because there's much more to come!
The beginner study plans are awesome. Thank you.
However -- responding further to my buddy DeepGreene's last comment -- We will eventually have study plans specific to certain tasks: Like beginner players wanting to master the Dragon Sicilian, etc... For now, our focus remains on expanding our "base repertoire" which is the Intermediate, Advanced, and Master Path Study Plans!
Look for this feature to become a critical part of how members navigate and use the features of Chess.com!!!
