I used to try and do this gambit vs around 1100 rated opponents. The problem I come across is the failure to play the correct moves. But then this gambit fails quickly if your opponent plays Nc3 after Qxb2

The failure for my opponent to make the correct moves. For any gambit really. So I don’t play gambits anymore unless it really fits with the opening.

Any legitimate, tactical-gambit is good for an 800 ELO-level player.

I used to play it at the 1000-1300 elo rated and still did fine in the opening. Definitely solid; however, once you start noticing that all your opponents are easily knowing best moves, then maybe steer away
