thats alright a late start won't matter. just message him and see if he can disable it or something if he can't it's all cool i'll just note down that you had a late start.

play it how you want aslong as both players agree and there is a gap no longer then 12 hours between each game (unless there is good reason)

you can play them all at once yes only if both players agree though.
