...speaking of awfulness, these blockhead avatars obviously remind me of lego movie...

Now, the narrative structure of this lego movie is that you have 1 awful manipulative guy, Lord Business, who's scheme is to limit the creative anarchical potentialities inherent in the modular structure of the lego world he administers (by glueing the pieces together); and then you have this simple but totally awesome hero of the story - Emmet Brickowski - who finds out both the plan of Mister Business and the one and only way to frustrate it.

So my first question would be for Erik (if he's still around):

Erik, are you by any chance planning to glue the chess pieces to the chess-board? and that would include both glueing literally and metaphorically...

My second question would be for the so-called Pats: why do you think He would be trying to do that?

Syd_Arthur

The answer is apparent in the question...good koan.

Very astute, good observation, bumpiputra,....the "glue" is the "solvent", therfore you have tranzcended the limitations of linguistic orthogonal "English" tropes.

Pulpofeira

Pulpofeira

Priceless.

No, Syddharthur , I must say I'm not much into Zen (aka Chan) Buddhism right now.

I don't even practice meditation with koans, so you will understand I can have no personal ambition to write one myself.

By the way, I must admit you are displaying a discrete amount of 'astuteness' yourself, when you say that some non-specified question contains its answer.

I'm not sure whether that is what a koan is supposed to be. As I said, that is none of my concern.

If you think you cannot answer a question about something you are supporting, I only think you could at least check that up with your bosses or mentors...

Most of all, I'd appreciate if from now on you abstained from messing around with my username.  Everything cool? Everything awesome? :-D

Syd_Arthur

sorry, bumiputra, I didn't intentionally mess up your username, it was a typo.
