THAT’S LITERALLY MY SUGGESTION FOR THE NEW BOT’S NAME, IDÍÖŤ

#122, A. The whole point is to vote (via people suggesting and upvoting the same name) and B. It’s my suggestion. I initially came up with that idea and began all the OTFers suggesting it.

What if the NPC could be yourself? And could vary based on your rating (Which would be of course, your exact rating and not just rounded up or down by 100 ELO.)

Adding on to my previous comment:

Known Opening and Midgame Lines (Beginner, AKA 100-800 ELO):

"We both know I’m just hoping you blunder first."

"I know this opening… but only like the first 5 moves."

"I think that was a fork?"

"Oh, a sacrifice? No… wait… that was just a blunder." (Special Line that can play when the opposing bot blunders, of course, that could be complicated to input in, so it could just play at random.")

"I learned the rules yesterday and forgot them today."

I can add some more tomorrow, but alas, it is not a guaranteed.

Known Opening and Midgame lines: (Intermediate, AKA, 800-1400.)

"At [rating], we don’t fall for Scholar’s Mate. Anymore, well at least, I don't."

"That move felt right, didn’t it? Shame about the bishop it lost."

"Both you and I calculated three moves ahead, and missed the first one."

"We both saw that mate in one… two moves too late."

"Honestly? We fought well. If we ignore the first 30 moves."

"You saw the fork… after you made the move. Progress!"

Again, I can add more tomorrow.

Known Opening and Midgame lines: (Advanced, AKA, 1400-1900)

-“I saw that tactic coming... I just didn’t think you’d actually find it.” (Midgame)

-“I’m not falling for that trick again. I analyzed that exact trap last week.” (Midgame)

-“Great, now I’m down a (Chess Piece) with no compensation." (Special Midgame Line that plays after you capture a free piece.)

-“I’m going for a setup I know well. If you take me out of book early, I’m blaming you.” (Early Game)

-“You deviated from book on move 4. Either you’re bluffing, or I’m about to get destroyed.” (Early Game)

-“This knight maneuver isn’t obvious, but I saw it once in a game by Kramnik.” (Early Game; transitioning to Middle Game.)

-“The position looks equal, but I feel like I’ve got just a little more harmony here.” (Early Game; transitioning to Middle Game.)

I shall return tomorrow.

Let’s go with some high-quality ideas that could actually get picked:

1. Mindra – Sounds calm, sharp, a bit like “mind” + “dra” (like Hydra or chess drama)

2. Vellon – Smooth and neutral, could fit a wise or tough personality

3. Cessari – Inspired by “Caïssa” + “chess,” feels classical but bot-friendly

4. Rokari – From “rook” and “karis” (grace), nice for a cool or quirky bot

5. Luchess – Like “Lucha” (fight) + Chess; strong and spunky

6. Echari – Futuristic, kinda sleek and bot-like

7. Bluntra – Slightly funny, but sounds like it could be real

8. Zafiri – Feels like a sleek gem or AI name; luxurious and elegant

9. Kasoro – Almost sounds like a mysterious chess master from lore

10. Ombrix – Sci-fi-ish, could fit a strange, chaotic, or cursed bot

#126, you realize we are only voting the name right now, right? Everything else will be voted separately

Indeed, I'm just spreading the aspects of the said bot and its possibilities. It would be more likely to captivate someone.

Abtectous
Sorry but OTFer is getting the dub here.

What even does and OTFer bot look like?

Abtectous
That will be decided when we get there.
