There's a simple solution, OP. You can just stop reading the forums. Problem solved.
Lots of websites are shutting down comment sections, chess.com should too.

Makes sense to me.

You're a highly unintelligent human. You dont even relize that instead of chess.com shutting down the fourms you could just stop reading them.

Now this is hands down, really funny! :) whooohooo! :)
And children can actually be quite wise. Guess my age.
I don't know ... but i guess its four digits ...
Average age of RAF fighter pilot in ww2 was 20 years old under your rules they wouldn't have been able to post on an internet chess forum. chocks away!
Kaynight - I am not a pompous ass. Just tired of hearing a bunch of lame opinions from young people many whom have probably never even seen a phone booth.
I love kids. I have 5. I love to engage them in conversation and listen.
I just hear them and their friends say many things that require me to bite my lip.
They are often so cock sure of what they think they know, and so incredibly mistaken as they have little to no historical background or sense of time to really measure anything.
To them, the world is twitter, facebook, snapchat and whatever they saw on some bogus reality show last night. (which are the furthest thing from reality as is possible.)
Kid's under about the age of 30 tend to be very self-centered, self-important, narcissitic. The overestimate their signifiance and their value of what they think they know or have done. That is why they have to post every nonsensical thing they do on facebook, or twitter. 99.9% of what is posted nobody gives a rat's behind about. Who cares if you had a super-sized taco last night??
I have run businesses for years, and I have constantly seen the same thing in the workplace. Young People who have barly done or seen anything thinking they have so much experience. Their sense of time is so short.
Well i agree kids that are focused on twitter and stuff are imbeciles and should be treated as such, however i do not see anything wrong with aragance if your better than everyone else why sugercoat it?
I am not going to reveal my age yet, keep guessing.
Is it one, two, three or four digits...?

i think 5
a fantastic thread, it clearly illustrates the unhappiness of the masses with the forums. But it should not be shut down, I say the problem lies with moderators and this is why I am applying for the job of moderator.
We need swift, clean justice for kids and morons, a tactic that worked perfectly for many centuries until people became vegetarians.
The forums are filled with slop
Vote Duck
Bring in the large mop
Still working on that slogan but my campaign manager likes it.
and....kaynight ...a prime example of just the type of problem we are discussing, how many times has the Duck not dealt with this individual in a swift and just manner? we don't know but it has been many times.
Give me the power of the banning and we won't have to constantly see the spectacle of him being driven off by the Duck every few hours.

thats censorship!
Censorship is good. But keep the forums.
